What types of documents can WebDocs manage?
Word processing documents, spreadsheets, presentations, reports, forms, audio, video and image files, engineering documents, drawings, and virtually any other file format.
Can changes to documents and folders be tracked?
Virtually all user activity can be tracked. You can instantly tell if documents have changed or if new documents have been created. You can also view previous versions of documents and find out who changed them and when.
Does WebDocs convert or require any type of conversion of documents?
No. WebDocs supports all types of documents in their native formats.
How are documents stored?
System i Edition
Documents can be stored on any platform: AS/400-iSeries servers, Unix servers, Windows servers, NAS or SAN servers and optical drives.
Windows Edition
Documents can be stored on any platform: Unix servers, Windows servers, NAS or SAN servers and optical drives.
Hosted Option
Documents are stored on a secure server. No special hardware required.
Is any special software or programming required?
Because WebDocs is browser-based and fully compatible with other software, no special software or programming is required.
What's the difference between WebDocs SMB and WebDocs?
To start, WebDocs SMB is roughly half the price. You get fewer licenses, and 5 search keys instead of 10. Some of the functionality that small businesses usually don't need has been turned off. Contact us for details.
Does WebDocs have conflicts with other software applications?
No. WebDocs is fully compatible with all your business application software, regardless of the manufacturer or platform.
How long does it take to implement WebDocs?
Software installation takes 15 minutes or less. Training time is minimal. You should be fully utilizing WebDocs in no time.
Are training materials available for users?
Training manuals are available in the support Wiki of our website. Any other questions can be answered by contacting our help desk at 1-888-757-7368.
Is WebDocs a service or can I run it in my own environment?
You can choose to use the software independently or use it as a service.
What about upgrades?
If you use WebDocs as a service, the program will update automatically. All users receive the new version instantly without installing new software. Any upgrades to free-standing software will be subject to our continuing maintenance agreement. Please contact us at 1-888-757-7368 for more details.
What Support Services do you provide?
Ongoing support is covered under a yearly maintenance contract. Our help desk is available during regular work hours for tech support and general questions.
